Responsibilities:
- Manage accounting operations including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Marketing and Vendor Funds, and General Ledger.
- Prepare and review accounting schedules to ensure compliance with IFRS and local GAAP.
- Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.
- Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
- Support month-end and year-end close processes.
- Research technical accounting issues for compliance and handle regional and corporate requests on various accounting issues
- Manage and comply with local government reporting requirements and tax filings via company databox
- Support ad-hoc projects
- Provide financial analysis and decision support to management.
- Maintain corporate records and ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements
- Assist in the preparation and filing of annual reports and other corporate documents
- Coordinate with legal counsel on corporate governance matters
Requirements:
- Proven working experience as a Financial Controller or similar role
- 10+ years of combined accounting and finance experience
- Should be professional qualified – CPA
- Thorough knowledge of local accounting principles and procedures
- Ability to solve the problem and manage the conflict of works across the functional departments
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Fluency in Czech and English (both written and spoken)
- Strong interest in the cryptocurrency and blockchain space
- Ability to work independently and as part of a geographically dispersed team
- Immediate availability is preferred
