API and Feature Development:

Build and maintain backend APIs using Node.js and JavaScript to support Pearpop’s creator platform.

Develop full stack features with JavaScript and web components, ensuring seamless integration with frontend and backend systems.

Collaborate with product and design teams to deliver user-facing features that enhance creator-brand interactions.

Code Quality and Deployment:

Participate in code reviews to ensure high-quality, maintainable code within a monorepo structure.

Contribute to QA processes and CI/CD pipelines to support reliable, frequent deployments on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Cloudflare.

Assist in debugging and resolving production issues to maintain platform performance.

Internal Tools and IT Support:

Help develop and maintain internal tools to streamline team workflows and operations.

Support light IT tasks, such as Google Workspace administration and user configuration, to ensure smooth team operations.

Learning and Growth:

Engage in mentorship from senior engineers and the VP of Engineering to level up technical and professional skills.

Explore modern backend and AI-driven architectures, including exposure to Pinecone, vector embeddings, or LLMs where applicable.

Take on stretch projects across product and infrastructure to broaden expertise in a supportive team environment.

1+ years of professional experience in backend or full stack development, ideally in high tech or media tech.

Hands-on experience with Node.js, JavaScript and other web dev technologies.

Experience building APIs and user-facing features.

Familiarity with SQL databases, with a preference for Postgres, for data management and querying.

Working knowledge of Git, monorepo structures, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud infrastructure (Google Cloud Platform preferred).

Eagerness to learn and grow through mentorship in a fast-paced startup environment.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

Exposure to AI technologies, such as Pinecone, vector embeddings, or large language models (LLMs), in a professional or academic setting.

Experience in the creator economy, influencer marketing, or media technology industries.

Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform services (e.g., Google Cloud Run, Cloud Functions, Cloud SQL) and/or Cloudflare developer services.

Prior contributions to internal tools or light IT tasks, such as Google Workspace administration.

Base Salary: $90,000–$110,000 annually, commensurate with experience
Location – Fully Remote United States or Hybrid – Los Angeles, CA
