The Opportunity
This is an opportunity to shape the growth of a search firm redefining what excellence looks like in deep-tech recruitment. You’ll drive client acquisition and build partnerships that power tomorrow’s technologies — semiconductors, photonics, lasers, robotics, and advanced electronics. You’ll work directly with Chris Thiel, Co-Founder and Head of Business Development, to expand Insight’s reach and reputation across Europe, Asia and North America. We don’t chase volume; we build trust, momentum, and meaningful relationships that last. At Insight, we’re not interested in clock-watching — we care about outcomes. You’ll have the freedom to own your market, experiment, and make visible impact in a firm where results, relationships, and integrity come first.
Your Impact
In your first 12–18 months, you will:
-Define and execute a growth plan that expands Insight’s footprint in high-value deep-tech markets.
– Build a qualified pipeline of new clients and convert leads into retained search partnerships.
– Represent Insight at key industry events, developing lasting relationships with founders and leaders.
– Collaborate with marketing to co-create outreach campaigns and thought-leadership initiatives. – Establish Insight’s voice on LinkedIn through content, engagement, and authentic conversation.
– Use automation and AI tools to enhance, not replace, human connection — ensuring efficiency with empathy. You’ll be trusted to experiment, refine, and deliver — your success will directly shape how Insight grows.
About You
You’re a connector and a closer — disciplined, focused, and commercially sharp. Structure and routine help you thrive, and you use them to stay persistent, organized, and effective. You spot opportunities others miss, follow through reliably, and make smart adjustments when needed.
You’re an exceptional communicator who thinks on your feet, expresses ideas clearly, and genuinely enjoys conversations, presenting, and building meaningful relationships. Your energy is positive and contagious — you naturally get others excited about what you’re working on.
Trust matters to you. You enjoy working hard with others to reach shared goals, and your ability to form deep, authentic connections turns every conversation into momentum.
You’ll thrive here if you:
-Love building networks and transforming conversations into strong partnerships.
-Lean into routine, structure, and focus to stay consistent and results-driven.
-Combine commercial drive with emotional intelligence and confident communication.
-Are digitally fluent and comfortable using LinkedIn for social selling and visibility.
-Embrace AI and automation to streamline outreach while keeping relationships at the centre.
-Work autonomously, taking direction well while proactively finding creative ways to open doors. -Believe in quality over quantity — you’d rather build five deep partnerships than fifty surface-level ones.
-Bring enthusiasm and positivity that elevates the people around you.
Your Background
– 3+ years in business development, client acquisition, or consultative sales (executive search, professional services, or B2B preferred).
– Proven track record managing the full sales cycle — from outreach to close.
– Confident communicator (written, spoken, and digital) who engages senior stakeholders naturally.
– Skilled in content-driven outreach and engagement — especially on LinkedIn.
– Experienced with cold outreach across multiple channels: phone, email, and social. – Strong organization and ownership in a remote, asynchronous environment.
– Fluent in English; proficiency in German or French is highly desirable (other languages a plus). – Exposure to or curiosity about deep-tech industries is a strong advantage.
– Familiarity with CRMs preferred.
