At CI&T, we’re looking for a passionate and skilled Mid Java Backend Developer to join our team in Colombia. In this role, you’ll contribute to a cutting-edge, cloud-based project while working in a collaborative, innovative, and multicultural environment.

What You’ll Do:
– Design, develop, test, and deploy backend services using Java and Spring Boot.
– Work with both SQL (PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases to deliver scalable and reliable applications.
– Leverage technologies like Kubernetes, Kafka, Redpanda, and Crunchy Data to build cloud-native solutions.
– Ensure the performance, security, and reliability of applications running on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
– Collaborate with cross-functional teams to build features that meet client and end-user needs.
– Participate in code reviews, contribute to best practices, and support knowledge sharing across the team.
– Mentor junior team members and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and learning.
What We’re Looking For:
– We’re excited to hear from candidates with experience or interest in many (not necessarily all) of the following:
– Java and the Spring ecosystem
– JUnit, JPA, and software testing practices
– Kubernetes (K8s) and containerized environments
– Crunchy Data for PostgreSQL in Kubernetes
– Kafka and/or Redpanda for real-time data streaming
– Experience with SQL and NoSQL database management
– Familiarity with GCP and cloud-native development
– Strong communication skills in English (Advanced level preferred)
