Main Responsibilities:
- Work with a team of software/data engineers and QA’s to develop high-quality web applications from scratch
- Perform fullstack web development using Ruby on Rails (Rails) and React.js and other technologies to build scalable web applications
- Work with on multiple different products and work with ambiguity
- Find and assess bugs and fix them
- Support current applications
- Follow the process for software development, testing and deployment.
- Ensure that assigned user stories (requirements) have sufficient detail to be implemented properly
- Ensure that you have sufficient understanding of user stories to provide reliable estimates
- Proactively seek learning opportunities to enhance skill sets and career growth
- Work with the project manager as needed to build requirements and understanding of software features
- Seek to perform good code and not simply just handle tasks
- Perform peer code reviews to ensure that code standards and proper architectural patterns are followed
- Make suggestions regarding improvements to the software
Minimum Qualifications:
- Candidate must be located in India and be willing to work from 7:00pm-10:00pm IST, at least three days a week
- 3+ years of development experience
- Strong hands-on experience with Ruby on Rails and React.js
- Proficient in both front and backend development and willingness to do both
- English language proficiency (C1+)
- Takes proactive initiative on all projects with a strong sense of ownership; emulates curiosity and innovation, instills trust in others
- Competent with several engineering tools to resolve complicated software defects
- Proficient in data management and database technologies, including SQL
