Job Description:
You will be responsible for developing and maintaining the server-side logic, ensuring high performance and responsiveness of web applications. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in server-side programming, cloud computing, and database management. This is a fully remote position where you will be working directly with one of our partners and contributing to a growing, innovative team.
Responsibilities:
- Architecting, programming, testing and deploying new features, improvements and bug fixes.
- Design, security, integrity and performance of our PostgreSQL database and AWS infrastructure.
- Identification and support of opportunities for leveraging data science and machine learning to optimize customer outcomes.
- Enhancing, maintaining and documenting our RESTful API as used internally and by our integration partners.
- Building upon and scaling-up our CI/CD practices and technologies.
- Collaborate with front-end developers and other team members, all remotely
Requirements
- Mid/Senior level experience (3–8 years) as a Back-End Developer
- Proficiency in one or more server-side programming languages, specifically Node.js
- Experience with database management systems (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB)
- Working knowledge of AWS or other cloud computing services
- Solid experience with SaaS application development, ideally in Fintech, would be a plus.
- Knowledge of API design and development
- Familiarity with modern software development methodologies and cycles
- Experience with software engineering best practices
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a deep understanding of computer science fundamentals
- Strong communication and teamwork skills in a remote work environment
- Proficiency in the English language, both written and verbal
- Ability to work remotely from anywhere in Latin America (Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, or Uruguay preferred)
