Position Overview

 

Ciellos is seeking a hands-on Sales Director to lead business development and account growth across all regions. Reporting to the EVP Sales and Marketing, this role manages a team of four direct reports. 

 

The ideal candidate brings a consultative sales approach, strong pipeline and CRM management skills, and experience leading complex sales cycles—ideally within the Microsoft Dynamics ecosystem. The Sales Director will drive revenue growth, support strategic accounts, and collaborate with the PMO/Services teams to ensure strong alignment throughout the customer journey. 

 

This is a high-impact position for a sales leader who thrives in a fast-paced, partner-centric environment and is focused on results, structure, and team development. 

 

Responsibilities

 
Pipeline & Sales Operations 

  • Achieve team sales targets in alignment with company goals. 
  • Drive sales team performance and accountability. 
  • Ensure CRM data integrity to support accurate forecasting and reporting. 
  • Lead weekly forecasting sessions and deliver executive-level summaries. 
  • Oversee the selection, implementation, configuration, and ongoing maintenance of the CRM system to support sales operations and customer engagement. 

Sales/Service Collaboration 

  • Co-lead Sales/Service sync meetings to align delivery capacity with pipeline and resource planning. 
  • Collaborate with Services to gather estimates and input for proposals and SOWs. 
  • Translate pipeline insights into actionable service planning. 

Commercial Governance 

  • Review and guide pricing proposals with a focus on standardization and scalability. 
  • Participate in contract reviews and quality assurance processes as needed. 
  • Act as the escalation point for commercial issues, ensuring timely resolution. 

Customer & Account Management 

  • Support strategic accounts with executive engagement and growth planning. 
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders. 

Leadership & Enablement 

  • Lead with urgency and professionalism, fostering a high-performance sales culture. 
  • Proactively escalate risks and blockers to executive leadership. 
  • Mentor and develop the sales team to achieve individual KPIs. 

Licensing & Product Knowledge 

  • Maintain working knowledge of Microsoft products, licensing, and programs. 
  • Stay current on Microsoft Dynamics 365 ecosystem trends and competitive positioning. 

 
 

Key Performance Metrics

 

To succeed in this role, the Sales Director is expected to achieve the following objectives: 

 

  • Revenue Quota Achievement – Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue targets aligned with company goals. 
  • Pipeline Growth & Coverage – Maintain a healthy and balanced sales pipeline with 3–4x coverage of quota. 
  • New Business Development – Drive consistent growth in new customer acquisition and partner engagement. 
  • Account Expansion – Identify and work with the team to close upsell and cross-sell opportunities within existing strategic accounts. 
  • Forecast Accuracy – Deliver reliable sales forecasts with less than 10% variance from actuals. 
  • Reporting Consistency – Provide timely, accurate, and standardized reporting on sales activities, pipeline status, and performance metrics.  

 

What is Needed to Succeed in The Role

 
Minimum Requirements

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Technology, or related field. 
  • 10+ years of experience in technology sales, ideally within the Microsoft Dynamics ecosystem. 
  • Proven experience in selling and managing projects related to software development, implementation, and support services. 
  • Proven experience exceeding sales targets in a consultative B2B environment. 
  • Strong CRM proficiency and data-driven decision-making. 
  • Experience in selection, implementation, configuration, and ongoing maintenance of CRM systems. 
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. 
  • Experience managing strategic accounts and complex sales cycles. 
  • Experience leading a global professional sales team. 
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% as needed. 

 

Preferred Qualifications

 

  • Existing relationships with Microsoft Dynamics System Integrators and ISVs. 
  • Experience representing a company at industry events and conferences. 

 

Location

 

Hybrid or Remote.

Compensation

 

Compensation includes base + commission structure aligned with company performance and personal targets.
