About the Role

The Environmental, Social & Governance Manager (ESG) will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies that maximize the social, environmental, and economic impact of our operations. This role involves leading initiatives that promote social equality, sustainability and community engagement, ensuring that our business practices align with our corporate social responsibility (CSR) and company values of fairness and belonging for all.

This is a part-time, permanent role, Monday to Friday. There is occasional travel associated with this role, although the majority of their work is done remotely.

Role Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive social value strategy aligned with the company’s overall mission and objectives.
  • Identify and prioritize key areas for social impact, including community engagement, sustainability, diversity and inclusion, and employee volunteerism and wellbeing.
  • Supporting the team with high value Government Contracts
  • Oversee the design, implementation, and evaluation of social value programs and initiatives and the metrics to track their effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to drive projects that deliver measurable social impact and report these where appropriate.
  • Partner with our Employee Resource Groups across sustainability, wellness, and belonging to ensure their activities are adding value to the business, our employees and our community.
  • Creating and maintaining systems and/or processes to ensure compliance with ESG-related regulations.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including community organizations, government agencies, non-profits, and business partners.
  • Represent the company at public forums, industry events, and CSR networks to promote our social value agenda.
  • Establish metrics and KPIs to measure the impact of social value initiatives and keep our Executive team informed on progress
  • Prepare regular reports and presentations for senior management and applicable clients, highlighting achievements, challenges, and areas for improvement.
  • Work closely with our Compliance and People teams to align on business objectives and to track progress of projects and new initiatives.
  • Report on all progress and long-term vision and goals.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within the team.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards related to social responsibility and sustainability, including without limitation PSI’s and its contractors’ compliance with PSI’s Anti-Slavery and Human Trafficking Policy as well as with accessibility laws.
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with social value initiatives.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Sustainability, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in a senior role within CSR, sustainability, or social impact.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing successful social value strategies and programs.
  • Strong understanding of social value principles, sustainability practices, accessibility (i.e., Equal Opportunities Act 2010 and EU Accessibility Act) corporate ESG compliance requirements under relevant laws, and corporate social responsibility.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to think strategically and translate strategies into actionable plans.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Experience with data analysis and impact measurement.
