The energy transition demands speed, scale, and strategic partnerships — and that’s where you come in. We’re seeking an experienced project developer to expand our Munich team in Germany.

What will you do

  • Oversee the entire development phase of multiple BESS projects, grid connection, permitting and stakeholder engagement.

  • Ensure the timely application for and granting of all necessary permits for the project.

  • Coordinate the securing of grid connections with grid operators.

  • Lead and/or coordinate preliminary engineering for the project layout and cable route design (with external advisors).

  • Build local support among inhabitants and regulatory bodies to ensure smooth project progression.

  • Collaborate with internal teams (Procurement, Origination, and Financing) to ensure seamless handover to the next phase.

What you bring

  • Minimum of 7 years of working experience, with at least 4 years in a relevant project development/management role in (renewable) energy (preferably wind), infrastructure, real estate or other utility-scale projects in the energy sector.

  • Strong experience in project permitting, grid connection and cable routing in energy or infrastructure sectors. Preference for someone who has experience with TSO grid connections and navigating the permitting processes at both municipal and district levels, ensuring compliance with all local regulations and requirements.

  • Proven track record in successful project development , with a strong understanding of regulatory, environmental, and social considerations.

  • Ability to engage with and manage relationships with external advisors and other stakeholders, including local authorities and community groups.

  • Proven track record managing complex projects from conception to execution, demonstrating strong organizational and leadership abilities.

  • Fluent written and spoken German and English. Willingness to travel (once every 2 weeks for a few days).
