As Chief Architect, you’ll define and lead the architectural strategy that underpins our product roadmap and long-term vision. Partnering closely with Product and Engineering leads, you’ll guide critical technical decisions, champion modern architectural practices, and explore emerging technologies to drive innovation and efficiency. With a strong focus on applied AI and scalable application design, you’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring our solutions remain competitive, modern, and impactful.
What You’ll Do
- Develop and execute a comprehensive architecture strategy for Evotix SaaS products, aligning with the company’s growth and innovative objectives.
- Ensure product and platform architectures are scalable, secure, and high-performance architectures to support enterprise-grade reliability and growth.
- Work closely and collaboratively as a member of the senior product and engineering leadership team to develop architectural strategies supporting product and business objectives.
- Guide a coalition of product and engineering resources in the evaluation of emerging technologies and integration into existing products.
- Serve as the Evotix architecture and technology expert to industry organizations and customers.
- Guide architectural choice for the Evotix platforms and their integration with shared and external services.
- Mentor and guide engineering teams to foster a culture of innovation, technical excellence, and accountability.
- Maintain a forward-looking external perspective and champion emerging technologies that are relevant to Evotix technology and have the potential to improve value delivery to customers.
- Establish best practices for software development, including code quality, CI/CD pipelines, and technical debt reduction.
- Train software engineers on using AI coding tools effectively, emphasizing best practices such as reviewing and validating AI-generated code to mitigate risks like bugs or security issues.
- Be responsible for the following functions:
- DevOps
- Data architecture
- SecOps
- Dev Tool Stack
- Delivery of shared services that sit between the two platforms
What You’ll Bring
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in SaaS software architecture, with at least 5 years in a senior engineering technology or digital transformation role, preferably in EHS-related industries.
- Proven track record of developing technology-leading SaaS applications, and enterprise technology strategies.
- Strong understanding of cloud computing, data analytics, cybersecurity, and IT governance.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills with a track record of delivering complex, high-impact projects on time and within budget.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Familiarity with leading AI/ML practices in engineering, including the use of GitHub Copilot, Microsoft IntelliCode, and other tools to augment productivity and code quality.
- Experience modernizing legacy .NET applications and implementing AI-driven coding practices.
- Knowledge of microservices, containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes), and event-driven architectures.
- Proficient in .Net, MVC, C#, Java, Git, testing frameworks, CI/CD
- Experience in agile methodologies
- Refactoring legacy .Net applications highly desired
- Experience implementing risk reduction and quality measures such as Strategies for code validation, security, intellectual property
