Digital Sales Development Director

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Digital Sales Development Manager to lead and develop our digital sales and business development teams, driving growth and success in our North American business.

As the Digital Sales Development Manager, you will be responsible for the overall performance and development of our digital sales and business development teams. You will play a critical role in coordinating alignment and nurture activities with International Digital Sales, Marketing, Sales and other key stakeholders to ensure seamless campaign execution and customer outreach. This role requires strong leadership, strategic thinking, and a proven ability to coach and motivate teams to achieve ambitious goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership & Management:
    • Lead, manage, and mentor the digital sales and business development teams
    • Set clear performance goals and expectations for each team and individual BDR/SDR.
    • Provide ongoing coaching, training, and development to improve the team’s skills and performance.
    • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback.
    • Foster a positive and collaborative team environment.
    • Recruit, onboard, and train new team members.
    • Manage team schedules, time off requests, and other administrative tasks.
  • Strategic Alignment & Coordination:
    • Collaborate closely with International Digital Sales, Marketing, Sales and other stakeholders to align efforts with global and regional priorities, key campaigns and initiatives.
    • Work with global and regional stakeholders to optimize lead generation and nurturing strategies.
    • Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure consistent messaging and outreach across different regions, industries and modalities.
    • Develop and implement standardized processes and best practices for lead qualification and opportunity generation.
    • Analyze sales data and identify areas for improvement in the digital sales and business development process.
    • Ensure teams are effectively utilizing CRM (e.g., Salesforce) and other sales and marketing tools.
  • Performance Monitoring & Reporting:
    • Create and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and progression against targets by industry, i.e. [GC1] lead conversion rates, opportunity creation, and pipeline growth.
    • Track and report on team and individual performance against goals.
    • Identify trends and insights to optimize digital sales and business development teams strategies and tactics.
    • Present performance reports to senior management.
  • Industry Knowledge & Market Awareness:
    • Maintain a strong understanding of the target businesses and industries prioritized by the regional and global teams.
    • Stay informed about Fujitsu‘s service offerings and consulting capabilities relevant to each industry.
    • Monitor competitor activity and market trends.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in sales, business development, or marketing, with at least 2 years in a management or leadership role.
  • Proven track record of successfully leading and developing high-performing BDR or sales teams.
  • Strong understanding of the BDR process and best practices.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to motivate and inspire team members.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience working with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) and other sales and marketing tools.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Fluency in English is required; French and/or Japanese language skills are an asset.
  • Must be eligible to work in the USA and/or Canada.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience managing BDR teams focused on multiple industry verticals.
  • Experience working in the technology or consulting industry.
  • Experience with international sales organizations.
  • Knowledge of lead generation and nurturing strategies.

As we are looking for a remote position, the disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. Fujitsu aligns salaries to the specific geographic location in which the work is primarily performed. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the circumstances of each situation. The pay range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to: specific skills, qualifications, experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role.
