Job Description

Title: Director, Head of APP Community Management
Reporting to: VP of Marketing, Dermsquared

Location: Remote (Eastern or Central US)

Dermsquared is seeking a Director, Head of APP Community Management to join our growing marketing communications team. The head of Dermsquared’s APP Community Management will serve as the single point-of-contact for ensuring that our solutions are backed by the strongly engaged community of Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) who will rave about the Dermsquared brand and programs. The role will need to interface with multiple stakeholders, including Product, Sales, our consulting clinicians, and our APP community to ensure that Dermsquared is best positioned to be the essential resource for APPs in Dermatology.

This role will report directly to the VP of Marketing of Dermsquared with several internal collaborative partnerships including the Chief Commercial Officer, Heads of Product, Chief Medical Officer (CMEsquared) and our APP Steering Committee of independent clinicians.

This leader will also interface directly with industry partners when joining engagements with the CCO.

This role will be supported by the Director of Audience Generation as a thought partner to help deploy community reach tactics.

Responsibilities

  • APP Strategic Plan Development (20%)
    • Based upon market insights and platform capabilities, develop a 4-year plan and annual plans to grow APP faster than the market and achieve #1 market position by 2029
    • Collaborate with all internal and key external stakeholders to ensure input and alignment for execution against the plan
    • Serve as the primary advocate for the plan within HCE2, our community and the broader market
  • APP Audience Generation (30%)
    • Owns and partners with Marketing/Audience Generation to develop audience generation strategies and messaging to attract APPs to programs
    • Refine branding and value proposition messaging for APPs for the Dermsquared brand and individual programs. Ensure that messaging hits the needs and desires of APPs
  • APP Program Management/Growth (30%)
    • Directs APP program development efforts and has the vision to gain share and win in the critical APP space (KPI: PANP Sponsored revenue growth)
    • Work with KOL program directors to liaise between Event Operations, Marketing, and Sales to ensure program appeals to HCP audience. Be the voice of the HCP
    • Lead on sponsor calls and advise the Sales team to extol value of Dermsquared APP portfolio and maintain an understanding of sponsor needs to ensure viability of APP programs
  • KOL/Faculty Management (20%)
    • Lead Steering Committee meetings – coordinate with KOLs and run purposeful meetings to gain productive insights on APP educational, market, and industry trends. Best utilize this resource for faculty recruitment, APP audience generation, and supporter leaders. Keep them focused on our objectives and performance against our KPIs
    • Recruit and maintain relationships with outside KOLs to be advocates for the Dermsquared brand in the APP space. Set up meetings and travel to key events to establish relationships with key APPs

Requirements

  • Demonstrated leadership essentials
  • Bachelor’s degree in biology, science, or related field. Advanced healthcare degree preferred (PharmD, PA-C, MSN, MD, etc.)
  • 5-10+ years of pharmaceutical or healthcare agency experience, especially around HCP community engagement. Focus on APPs preferred
  • Deep knowledge of APP clinical needs
  • Experience and network within the dermatology community
