Infrastructure Consultant

Overview of the role

We are now very excited to grow that team further by hiring a Senior Technical Consultant to join us in supporting out clients.

What you will be doing?

·       Network design, implementation, and troubleshooting across enterprise environments

·       Routing and switching protocols –  Dell, Cisco, HP/Aruba

·       Network security technologies – Sophos, Fortigate, Palo Alto

·       Wireless networking (802.11 standards, enterprise WLAN design)

·       WAN – Cisco Meraki, VMware VeloCloud

·       Network monitoring and performance optimization tools

·       Network services configuration

·       VMware/Hyper-V networking (NSX, VXLAN)

·       Cloud networking – Azure, AWS

·       Integration of networking with identity systems

·       Strong server operating system skills (Windows, Unix)

·       Disaster Recovery & High Availability Network Design

·       Experience of delivering Storage Area Network solutions

·       Experience in delivering hypervisor solutions (VMware, Hyper-V, Azure Local)

·       Experience in Backup and replication technologies 

·       Experience in Leading Network Migrations or Transformations – Data centre moves, cloud transitions, large-scale hardware refreshes

What are you looking for?

We are looking for a Senior Technical Consultant with strong experience in enterprise networking, security, and cloud (Azure/AWS). They should be confident with technologies like firewalls, SD-WAN, and routing protocols, and have led major infrastructure or cloud transformation projects.

You will have relevant certifications (e.g. CCNP, Azure Architect), strong client-facing skills, and the ability to work independently. Security clearance eligibility and willingness to travel are essential.


Key Skills & Experience: 

·       Hands-on networking experience

·       Project management and technical leadership capabilities

·       Client-facing consultation and technical presentation skills

·       Network documentation and architecture design

·       CCNP/CCIE level Preferred

·       VMware VCP

·       Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect Expert

·       Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

·       Excellent written and verbal communication

·       Ability to work independently and manage multiple client engagements

·       Interest in pursuing advanced certifications

·       Willingness to travel for client sites

·       Commitment to staying current with networking trends

·       Must have or be willing to get security clearance (NPPV3 and SC)

 

Practical stuff 

Where is the role based? 
This is a remote position but you will be required to visit clients regularly and also come and see us in our HQ monthly, when possible.

Following a screen with the Recruitment Team you can expect a two-stage interview process.

*Important* BPSS Check 

As part of our recruitment process due to the nature of the work we do, all employees are required to undertake a  check. While some employees require further security clearance, the BPSS check is a must-have requirement and all offers of employment are conditional pending the passing of this check
