JOB SUMMARY
The Fresh Food Solutions segment for the Consumer Products Division focuses on food packaging markets. The Program Manager is responsible for using project management, stage gate, and Six Sigma methodologies to lead cross-functional activities (i.e. from inception, through planning, design, prototyping, and commercial launch) for new product development projects for a specific Fresh Food sector.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Cross-functional project manager for the Hot Beverages Segment
- Lead a portfolio of complex New Product Development (NPD) and other projects relevant to the Hot Beverages segment simultaneously
- Coordinates the administrative activities necessary to drive projects from idea generation to successful delivery and/or commercialization, in collaboration with NPD, Marketing, Sales, Manufacturing, Quality and other functions; also customers and suppliers
- Define project KPI’s, upfront project scoping, resource needs, and success criteria
- Drives timeline management (i.e. defining critical/parallel path, contingency plans, risk mitigation)
- Develops project documentation (i.e. project charters, stage gate milestones, stakeholder updates)
- Ensure stakeholder management, alignment, communications and adherence to timelines defined: internal & external
- Provides customer technical updates as needed. As a customer-facing role, the individual must be comfortable discussing and presenting information to external customers
- Leads/participates in internal-external ideation sessions and product roadmaps activities
- Lead/participates in stage gate NPD meetings and ad-hoc project meetings

- Deliver on key project milestones (concept, design, prototype, scale, commercialization)

QUALIFICATIONS

- Bachelors in a material science-related field preferred.
- Knowledge of materials, technologies, equipment and processes used in the manufacturing of products in the Fresh Food Segment is highly desired, with a minimum of five years of materials industry experience in applied R&D/NPD required.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification is highly desired
- Experience and training in Project Management, Stage Gate, Six Sigma, Design of Experiments
- Experience leading multiple, complex projects from ideation to commercialization
- Experience building a culture of innovation and collaboration within customers and internal teams
- Experience in high-volume manufacturing environment
- High sense of urgency
- Business manager mindset
- Organizational-savvy and be comfortable with navigating organizations at all levels.
- Well-organized and self-directed and have a strong process and project orientation.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in the English language strong preferred.
- Ability to travel (~25%).
- Pay of $125,000 to $130,000 DOE
