Position Summary
ABUKAI is seeking a high-performing Sales Executive to lead direct sales efforts across Australia and New Zealand. This is a ground-floor opportunity to shape ABUKAI’s regional growth, working closely with the executive team to expand our customer base, managing key relationships, and driving revenue.
You’ll be responsible for prospecting, qualifying, and closing new business across mid-market and enterprise segments. You will also be instrumental in developing partnerships with local accounting firms, ERP resellers, and system integrators.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Execution
• Own the full sales cycle from lead generation to close, including product demos and proposals in conjunction with the US headquarters.
• Identify, qualify, and close opportunities across key verticals such as construction, mining, real estate, technology, etc.
• Convert existing customers into high-impact case studies and coordinate with global marketing to develop case studies, testimonials, and other marketing content.
• Manage and grow a strong pipeline using a structured approach and CRM tools.
• Assist in high profile global opportunities (for example across Europe).
Market Development
• Develop territory plans to target key accounts in Australia and New Zealand.
•Actively participate in industry events, webinars, and partner initiatives to increase ABUKAI’s visibility in the region.
•Work closely with marketing to tailor campaigns for regional audiences.
Partnership Management
• Build and manage strategic relationships with existing partners in the region. Establish new relations with local ERP consultants, accounting firms, and channel partners, if appropriate.
• Drive co-marketing and co-selling initiatives with ecosystem partners.
Customer Success Alignment
• Ensure smooth handoff to implementation teams.
• Identify up-selling and cross-sell opportunities based on customer usage and growth.
• Maintain strong customer relationships and act as a trusted advisor.
Qualifications
• 5+ years of B2B SaaS or software sales experience, ideally in expense management, finance, or ERP-adjacent markets.
• Proven track record of creating pipeline, and meeting or exceeding quota in a complex sales environment.
• Deep understanding of regional business culture and p procurement processes.
• Experience selling to finance, operations, or IT decision-makers.
• Strong English written and verbal communication skills; comfortable presenting to C-level audiences. Other languages plus to support possible regional opportunities.
• Self-starter with the ability to operate independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Familiarity with partner/channel development and CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce).
