About The Role
We are looking for a Python Backend Engineer to help develop and productivize our AI powered solutions, which range from online conversational AI assistants to Machine Learning models to detect controversies in the news and Human-in-the-Loop processes to extract information from documents. Whether or not you are already an expert in AI, this role provides a unique opportunity to work on the cutting edge of technology, and to lead and contribute to a transformational area for Clarity AI and society at large.

What You’ll Be Doing
Working as a Python Backend Engineer, you will be responsible for:
- Developing and evolving our NLP (Natural Language Processing)-powered products and processes, with a particular focus on robust, scalable, and maintainable deployments.
- Designing and building scalable, maintainable backend systems that serve as the foundation for current and future AI-powered products.
- Developing and evolving our internal platform for LLM integration, including tooling for prompt management, orchestration, and service communication.
- Collaborating across product, research, and engineering teams to turn AI capabilities into reliable user-facing features, bridging the gap from prototype to production.
- Establishing engineering best practices for code quality, testing, deployment, and documentation, helping grow a robust and future-proof codebase.

Requirements
What You’ll Need
Technical skills
- Tech stack: Python, Linux, AWS, FastAPI, Asyncio, GitLab, Docker, Kubernetes, SQL, PostgresDB.
- Nice to have: LangChain, LangGraph, PyTorch, GPUs, Datadog, vLLM / SGLang / Unsloth.
- Deep understanding of concurrency, latency, scalability, APIs, Python packaging, queues (e.g., RabbitMQ), CI/CD pipelines.
- System design and deployment patterns.
- Understanding of how things work under the hood.
Soft skills
- Ability to synthesize technical information and strong communication skills.
- Appreciation of complete end-to-end system and interaction of constituent components.
- Staying current with the latest tools, frameworks and best practices.
- Can work autonomously towards high-level goals.
- Excellent oral and written English communication skills. (Minimum C1 level-proficient user).
- Highly motivated, independent and excited to work on AI powered projects.
