Video & Social Media Specialist

We are looking for a creative and data-driven Video Resource with a knack for visual storytelling and social media growth.

You will be responsible for managing Xgrid’s LinkedIn & YouTube presence, editing podcasts, designing thumbnails, and creating brand-aligned videos using Canva.

You will also test different content formats to optimize engagement and growth.

This role requires a strong eye for design, an understanding of social media best practices, and the ability to analyze performance metrics to refine content strategies.

You will work closely with the marketing and content teams to ensure all video content aligns with brand guidelines and business objectives.

Responsibilities:

  • Content Creation & Editing:

    • Edit and produce podcast episodes, ensuring high-quality audio/video output.

    • Design thumbnails, social media videos, and promotional clips (primarily using Canva).

    • Ensure all video content is on-brand, engaging, and optimized for each platform.

  • Social Media Management:

    • Manage and grow LinkedIn & YouTube channels through consistent, high-quality content.

    • Experiment with different video formats, posting times, and engagement strategies to maximize reach.

    • Monitor analytics to identify trends, optimize performance, and suggest improvements.

  • Growth & Experimentation:

    • A/B test thumbnails, titles, and content styles to improve CTR and watch time.

    • Stay updated on platform algorithm changes and implement best practices.

  • Collaboration & Coordination:

    • Work with marketing, design, and content teams to align video strategy with broader campaigns.

    • Assist in repurposing long form content into short form clips for social media.

Required Experience & Skills

  • 2+ years of experience in video editing, social media management, or content creation.

  • Proficiency in Canva, basic video editing tools (CapCut, Premiere Pro, or similar), and podcast editing.

  • Strong design sense with the ability to create thumbnails and visuals that drive engagement.

  • Understanding of LinkedIn & YouTube algorithms, SEO, and growth strategies.

  • Analytical mindset ability to track metrics, derive insights, and adjust strategies.

  • Strong communication skills and ability to work in a fast paced, collaborative environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with A/B testing for thumbnails, titles, and content formats.

  • Basic knowledge of marketing automation & project management tools (HubSpot, Asana, Trello).

  • Willingness to work flexible hours (occasional evenings for timely content uploads).

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Media, Design, or related field (preferred but not mandatory).
