Role Description

This role involves remotely supporting customers and/or onsite technicians in testing and turning up WAN and LAN equipment.

  • Perform fault isolation and resolution in a methodical and thorough manner in accordance with SLA.
  • Maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot within the roles of Incident Management (Return-to-Service), Problem Management (Reason for Outage), and Change Management.
  • Work with the engineering department to develop customer and device specific knowledge base.
  • Maintain operational procedures for all network infrastructure.
  • Meet and exceed customer SLA or OLA metrics.
  • Work with third party vendors to remediate and resolve customer issues.

Qualifications

  • 3 years of technology experience in Networking.
  • ITIL foundation knowledge and certification.
  • Hands-on experience with Cisco routers, Catalyst switches, Nexus switches, WLCs & Meraki devices.
  • Experience with HP, Aruba switches, routers & WLCs.
  • Experience with SD WAN – Silver Peak, Velo Cloud, etc.
  • Good level of understanding of virtualization concepts.
  • Knowledge of Public Clouds like Azure, AWS, Google.
  • Automate tasks and monitor their effectiveness.
  • Hands-on experience with routers, switches, wireless controllers (Cisco, Aruba, and Meraki).
  • Proficient with standard troubleshooting practices and methodologies.
  • Ability to think through problems and visualize solutions.
  • Knowledge of application transport and network infrastructure protocols.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
