Role Description
Moog Medical Devices (MMD) is looking for a Strategic Account Manager. You will manage high valued accounts, with the objective to retain and grow the business between both MMD and key accounts.
- Build and maintain relationships to be both the voice of the customer to Moog and MMD’s voice to the customer.
- Develop new business, evaluate and quote business opportunities, and manage awarded project opportunities.
- Manage forecast, increase bookings, and drive overall customer satisfaction.
- Drive cross-functional coordination with internal teams to implement new designs or design changes accurately.
- Manage the Sr Sales Assistant and potentially Sales Representatives.
- Report to the Director National Sales in Salt Lake City, UT.
- Remote or hybrid work schedule may be considered.
As a Strategic Account Manager, you’ll also be responsible for:
- Building sustainable relationships with key strategic customers by providing necessary information and fulfilling requests in a timely manner.
- Effectively communicating and developing relationships over a wide range of operational and professional levels, including buyers, engineers, and C-suite level executives.
- Retaining and growing business with customers, measured with KPIs.
- Conducting negotiations with customers to establish long-term relationships through MSA, contracts, and long-term purchase orders.
- Monitoring and managing common KPIs with customers to ensure MMD operates accordingly.
- Leading problem-solving discussions and facilitating technical conversations about MMD products.
- Managing multiple accounts simultaneously to balance demand from MMD.
- Interacting with other departments to develop and facilitate the implementation of new product introductions or changes to current products.
- Owning the quoting process and keeping quoting tools up to date within MMD.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of science degree in engineering, technology, or business from an accredited university.
- Minimum five (5) years relevant work experience, including customer-facing roles and responsibilities.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with technical and operating personnel both external and internal.
- Ability to succeed in a highly regulated compliance-oriented environment while providing service excellence.
- Ability to identify, develop, grow, and maintain relationships with key stakeholders both at customers and within Moog.
- Ability to manage complex critical situations appropriately.
- Ability to travel up to 20%.
- Understanding of documentation, basic product performance, and manufacturing methods.
- Ability to understand and apply financial and costing information to generate a business case to evaluate opportunities.
- Ability to understand market data to be applied on quotes, forecasts, and growth direction opportunities.
